For 2024-25 the Membership Year for Wooler u3a has been changed to 1st November to 31st October. Staring from 2024-25, the year starts on 1st November. Our usual annual subscription was £13 but, because of underspend during the pandemic, the current membership fee is now £10 per annum. If or when fees increase significantly, those who join partway through the year may be offered a discount.
In addition, we normally pay an additional £1 to £3 per group meeting for hire of the room and refreshments.
If you are thinking of joining, you can attend up to two group taster sessions, only paying the group room rental / refreshment fee. Once you have joined, you may join as many interest groups as you wish, paying only that group’s normal session fee each time.

Once you have filled out the membership form, please forward it to the Membership Secretary at the address on the form, along with your membership fee or post in in the u3a box on the Cheviot Centre ground floor.
Please Note: as at May 2026 the Membership acount name has changed to "University of the Third Age, Wooler Branch" and is now called the Charity Account. The sort code and account number are the same. This change is reflected on the Membership Applcation Form.
Wooler U3A Gift Aid Declaration
The Wooler U3A secretary holds a confidential record of all members’ declarations and is the HMRC’s recognised contact for Gift Aid.
The present membership subscription (donation) is £10. Your gift aid total for the year would be £2,50.
To cancel the declaration, or if there is a change to your name or home address, it is necessary to notify the Wooler U3A secretary, so that information declared to HMRC by the secretary is kept up to date.
