In 2024 The Third Age Trust (TTAT) is considering how to improve it's structure, including a re-purposed governance Board and the addition of a User Council to gain representation of the views of the constituent U3As.
There is a resolution for the October 2024 AGM which includes this restructuring and associated changes to the Articles of Association.
Reservations have been expressed by some U3As, including Wooler, regarding how effective these proposals may be.
